Many groups are very protective of their culture and are resistant to change, however, there are also those that believe cultures are constantly evolving and change is a necessary condition in order to survive and progress.

• Pick a side and support your claim. (3-4 sentences)

II.  Objectives:

• Identify, explain, and compare the elements of culture between groups.
• distinguish between sub and counter cultures.
• Determine the central ideas to provide an accurate summary that makes clear the relationships among the key details and ideas.

3. What similarities exist between the cultures?
4. Which, if any. group would be considered a counterculture? Explain you answer.
5. Which, if any, group would be considered a subculture? Explain you answer.
