Christmas Stocking Donations

Image result for stockings for troops

Dear Families,

Every year, DuVall sends extra Halloween candy to troops overseas. This year, DuVall penguins will be sending the troops Christmas stockings along with extra Halloween candy! Every grade has been assigned something different to donate for the stocking. Kindergarten has been asked to donate travel size tissues and travel size wet wipes. If you can and would like to help donate to the troops, please send in these items (travel size tissue and wet wipes, and extra candy) by Friday, Nov 2nd. Or, place a monetary donation in an envelope with the name of the student label the envelope “donation for Christmas stockings.” Thank you in advance for all your help and support!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

I hope this message finds you all well and dry and enjoying this weekend with your families! My weekend has been filled with soccer and family 🙂 Here is what you need to know for this week in kindergarten. If there are any changes to be made or additional information added, I’ll add the news as the week progresses. Have a wonderful week!

*Please join us on Halloween for our parade and classroom activities at 2:00 pm 🙂 Please sign into the office and get a visitors pass and join us on our walk around the block if you wish! After the parade we will go directly to room 106 and enjoy some activities and treats! If you are donating anything to the party feel free to send it in tomorrow, Monday 10-29-2018. If you have food items, please send in the day of the party on Wednesday! Remember to send your child to school in regular clothes and have them bring their costume to school in a bag with their name on it! Students can change into costumes after lunch right before the parade at 1:30 ish. Your child may also bring a small piece of candy or small candy bag for each child if they want but please make sure all items are individually wrapped and not baked goods. They will be placed into paper bags and then into backpacks and could get really messy! THANK YOU in advance to all the families and students for helping donate items for this party and for your amazing generosity and support. We are so lucky and I am the most lucky teacher around 🙂

Mrs. Ross 🙂

Apple Orchard Field Trip Chaperones!

Image result for field trips

Dear parents,

We just pulled the names of 6 moms that will ride the bus with us to Wiard’s Apple Orchard for our field trip on the 18th. I wanted to THANK all of the parents for volunteering your time to accompany us and I wish we could take ALL of you on the bus with us. Unfortunately, we do not have enough space to do that, and we are so luck that 14 moms volunteered. WOW, that is amazing! I will say this though. If you still wanted to spend the day with us, I would like to invite you to either drive yourself or carpool with other mothers and follow the bus there (or meet us at the entrance gate). If you would still like to come, we’d love to have you. You would simply pay your entrance fee when you get there and join us there.

Here are the mom’s pulled to ride the bus. If something changes in your schedule which permits you from joining us, please let me know and I will pull another name from the basket. Thank you and have a great day!
