I hope this message finds you all well and warm and enjoying this BEAUTIFUL weekend with your families! My weekend has been filled with soccer as usual and a block party 🙂 Here is what you need to know for this week in kindergarten. If there are any changes to be made or additional information added, I’ll add them as the week progresses. Have a wonderful week!
Mrs. Ross 🙂
*Homework packet: Lesson 16 homework assignment is due tomorrow. In order to keep your homework packets one week behind instruction, this week your child will receive two new games to add to their homework “Game Binders” and a membership to “Zern.org” a game website linked to our kindergarten curriculum with fun games yay! Look in your child’s folder for the letter and login information stapled to it 🙂 Enjoy, and please let me know if you need any help setting your child up.
*Apple Orchard: We are all set! Looking forward to the field trip this week! Remember to send your child with a warm outfit and the proper coat and shoes to stay warm and dry all day! In addition, a bag lunch that can easily be thrown away after eating. No money please we will not be visiting the orchard store.
*Conferences are quickly approaching! Please make sure you have signed up for one spot on one of the days provided. I will assign any family who has not yet signed up to make sure we meet 🙂
*Popcorn fundraiser sales are almost every Friday so bring those quarters (no limit per child) first thing at 8:35 am. This Friday popcorn sales will be back on!
*Library check out: Your child will visit the library again on Tuesday morning. Please make sure that your child’s book is in their backpack Monday night ready to be returned this next morning. Any lost or damaged books front he DuVall library will need to be replace by the individual child’s family. Thank you for helping your child become a responsible penguin! Last week we had 19/20 return their books. Wow! We are really learning to be responsible with our school materials.
*Reading Packs:Thank you for sending them back every day and spending about 10-15 minutes a night on the letters/words you find in there. This will help your child SO much reviewing their personal bags each night!

*This week in math I will be returning to regular instruction and continuing with lesson 17. Please have your child play the games from their homework game binder each night to review all skills and log onto zern.org to register themselves on the site. This is an additional way to fulfill homework skill practice a night and as your child completes assignments and games it will naturally move them up (like Razkids does)! Have fun.
*This week the kindergarten teachers will be setting up a “sign up genius” for our Halloween party which will take place from 2:30pm (or directly following the 2:00pm parade) to 3:30pm on Wednesday October 31st, 2018. Please take a minute to view the supplies needed for the party and sign up to donate items if that is possible for your family. NO PRESSURE 🙂 Parents are welcome join us for the party and we will also need parents to help run stations and manage crowd control lol! The class and I thank you in advance for your generosity and assistance to make our Halloween at school successful and most importantly FUN!
