Dear Families,
I hope this message finds you all healthy and safe. It was SO wonderful to see all of your precious babies on Wednesday’s google meet! Our grade level has been instructed to work 10-12 minutes a day in the following subject areas: reading, writing, math, science or social studies. Included in the work we do, we will also focus on your child’s fine/gross motor skills, movement and exercise and outdoor exploration! I am combining a lot of our subjects in cross curricular lessons (as usual) to make sure your child is not sitting in from of a computer for hours each day and more like if they were in school.
Ramadan Kareem: Happiest Ramadan wishes to you and your families for those of you observing Ramadan. I wish you the most wonderful month with your families. I also know how hard this will be for you to work, fast, teach your little ones and cope with all of the stay at home and social distancing. Please remember your health and family comes first and please let me know if I can help in any way.
Homework Due Date Change:
I have changed the due date to FRIDAYS this week! Mr. Attee needs my information for our building by Fridays as we keep track of participation. As always I am very flexible with due dates so please reach out to me if you have any issues completing assignments by Friday. Our new schedule will be from Friday to Friday next week so you will have more days to complete all the work! I apologize for the change and if this causes any inconveniences this week. Just do all that you can and let me know how I can help! I appreciate and thank all of you again for your continued support and just overall awesomeness!
With Gratitude,
Mrs. Ross 🙂
Specials Areas: Please make sure that you are visiting these sites to find your amazing weekly specials assignments! These teachers share multiple buildings and do NOT have a google classroom so here is the link to find them. I am not collecting assignments for them, they will be keeping track and grading for the 4th report card so you will send your work directly to them. You can find their information on the blogs. Have fun my little penguins!

Grades:
We will be giving “grades” now for the last report card so it is very important to check the blog and google classroom for meetings and lessons each week. If your child is not completing work I will make sure to get in touch to check on your family and make sure that you are healthy and then to help meet your needs. PLEASE do not hesitate to reach out and email, text or call me if you are having any tech issues or if your child is just plan sad. I am here for ALL of it and we are a team!
NEW BLOG PAGE! I hope you all enjoy seeing each other and are very proud of all your hard work! Keep them coming you are amazing! Look at our main page on the blog and look at the top for the page called “Remote learning pictures Spring 2020!”
Office Hours: I am required to hold “Office Hours” daily. Mine will be from 11:00am-1:00pm. However, please feel free to contact me when it’s convenient for you and I will get back to you as fast as I can! Please never hesitate to send me an email message or text. I will also ask at the beginning of each google meet if there are any “housekeeping” questions I can answer or write down to ding the answer.
Google Meets/Online lessons: Although we usually meet every Wednesday and Friday at 12:00pm we have been asked to hold off until issues concerning safety are solved. I will keep you informed as I get more information from Mr. Attee.
Bedtime Stories: This week I am going to link seven read alouds from youtube to the google classroom for your children again. It is NOT required, but just another way to promote literacy! Feel free to listen to them whenever you want. I am just going to put them under the title of bedtime stories each week to help stay organized.
I hope you have a wonderful week and get to enjoy the outdoor with your families as much as we can. Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns. THANK YOU ALL for your continued support.
With gratitude,
Mrs. Ross 🙂
