Happy February room 111 families! I can’t believe how fast this year is going. We are already into our third card marking. I hope you all enjoyed your weekend with your families. We had several family birthday parties last weekend and I am all partied out! We wanted to say a big thank you to all the families who donated water, or money to the school in Flint! Every bit counts. Here is what you need to know for kindergarten this week.:

LA: Informational texts. Reading groups will resume so make sure you child has their reading packs! I will be collecting all old books and we will begin rebuilding reading packs. All paper books are yours to keep and should be kept in the reading pack still (along with the pink booklet).

Writing: Informational writing (living things)

Math: Addition (various strategies to add)

Social Studies: Me on the Map

Science: Living Things (What are living things and what do they need to live?)

Monday: Gym

Tuesday: Art and Music

Wednesday: Computers

Thursday: Music and Media check out (Please return books) Report cards for marking period 2 and NWEA results will be going home today!
