Greetings room 111 Families,
I can’t believe this is our last week in kindergarten. I have such mixed feelings because I am so excited to see them move onto first grade, yet I will greatly miss each one! This message is a thank you and a few things to remember for next week…
Monday, June 13th: Gym and “Water Balloon Day”. If anyone would like to donate and fill water balloons we’d be so excited! LOL I can dream right!?! (Make sure your child is wearing the appropriate clothing and footwear to get a little wet! You may want to apply their sunscreen in the morning if we’ll be outside a lot. If you do not want your child to participate in the water balloon game please send me a note or reply so I can make sure to follow your wishes 🙂
Tuesday, June 14th: Art and Music. & “Autograph Day!” On this day your child will bring in a permanent marker and sign their names on another persons t shirt! Some students may want their friends to sign their tie-tyed t-shirt from last week! Others may want to wear a plain white or solid light colored t-shirt. Again, please send Mrs. Ross a note if you do NOT want your child to participate (to have others write their names on his/her t-shirt)!
Wednesday, June 15th: “Kindergarten Ceremony!” Join us today at 1:00pm in the big gym to celebrate your darlings end of the kindergarten year! Your child may want to “dress to impress” today! Remember we are NOT having the ceremony until 1:00pm and your child may get dirty or sweaty in their awesome clothes. SO, I have already told a few mothers that if you want to come up to class after our special at 12:15pm you can take turns in the closet and bathroom (like we did for Halloween) and YOU may change your child. Just a thought! After the ceremony we will come back to Mrs. Ross’s classroom at 2:00pm for our “Reading License Ceremony!”
Thursday June 16th: Last Day of School! We will just be hanging out and enjoying each other’s company! Maybe Mrs. Ross will put us to work lol!
Thank you very much to ALL the parents who donated rubber bands for the students to use during tie-dye day! We had a BLAST making the t-shirts and they look awesome. We had more than enough and are so grateful! I also wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the donating and volunteering you have given us this whole year. This is the most generous classroom I have ever had! I have enjoyed working with all of your children and you as well. Thank you for your trust and partnership this year. If you ever need anything in the future remember I am just an email or a visit away. I wish you all a very happy and healthy Ramadan and Eid Mubarak.
This is all for now, I’ll fill you in with any additions or corrections to the post!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Ross 🙂
