First graders refreshed their knowledge of the primary colors, horizontal, and vertical lines by creating a “Mini-Mondrian” during one art class.
The next art class, we mixed the primary colors of paint (red, yellow, and blue) to create the secondary colors (green, orange, and violet).
When the papers were dry, we cut out a green ground and orange pumpkins to glue onto a purple night sky. Details were added in oil pastel.
