Kindergarten and young 5 artists have created paper line sculptures! They learned how to use the glue bottles and how to bend, fold, roll, and glue their papers so that they could show different kinds of lines in a 3-d artwork!
First grade artists began the year by reviewing some of the lines and shapes we learned about last year. They used these lines and shapes together to create drawings of rocket ships.
Kindergarten artists learned all about LINES on their second day of art class! They learned the names of many lines and then practiced drawing them. They used a pipe-cleaner to practice bending some of the lines. Then they added their pipe-cleaner to our wild line sculpture! They ended class by creating lines with modeling clay.
Welcome back to another wonderful year at Geer Park! Every artist in the school started this year by making 1/4 of a circle shape and filled it with designs and their initials. Then they worked together as a table to create a circle with each of their shapes. All of our individual pieces look nice …
