Kindergarten and young 5 artists cut shapes from different colored papers and assembled them to show their own robot! They drew extra details with Sharpie on top.

While learning about texture, kindergarten and young 5 artists were able to create a turtle out of clay and added texture to the turtle shells! They used texture plates to add texture to the turtle shells and were able to paint their turtles and take them home!

Kindergarten artists used the PTA reflections prompt, “Look Within” for this painting. They drew what was in their hearts: things that they love, and things about themselves that you may not be able to see on the outside!

After learning which colors were primary colors, Kindergarten and Young 5 artists were able to experiment with mixing these colors together to see how many new colors they could make! Kindergarten artists created another artwork using the three primary colors, red, blue, and yellow! This time they were cutting and gluing squares and rectangles with primary color paper. They used the squares and rectangles to represent things they might see in a city: cars, streets, houses, buildings, etc.

Kindergarten and young 5 artists are continuing to learn about lines; they learned about three directional lines, horizontal, vertical, and diagonal, to make a spider web! They also learned that red, yellow, and blue are called the primary colors. They used the primary colors to color inside of their spider webs.

Kindergarten and young 5 artists have created paper line sculptures! They learned how to use the glue bottles and how to bend, fold, roll, and glue their papers so that they could show different kinds of lines in a 3-d artwork!

Kindergarten artists learned all about LINES on their second day of art class! They learned the names of many lines and then practiced drawing them. They used a pipe-cleaner to practice bending some of the lines. Then they added their pipe-cleaner to our wild line sculpture! They ended class by creating lines with modeling clay.
