Fifth Grade Animal Eyes

While waiting for their group’s turn to use the camera to take their light painting photos, each fifth grade artist was able to create a series of realistic animal eye drawings using oil pastel. They practiced matching colors to their animal eye photo and had to blend or mix colors with the oil pastels.

Fifth Memory Collagraph Prints

Fifth grade artists created a composition of collagraph prints that show a memory they have! After brainstorming and sketching, they collaged different textured materials together to create their printing plate. Fifth Grade Tapestry Weaving

Fifth grade artists have been learning new weaving techniques! They each created their own small tapestry after sketching their idea first. They used techniques such as adding beads, Soumak stitch, fringe, and weaving shapes. Many artists took their weavings home before I could take a photo but here are a few below:
