Kindergarten artists created penguin collages in the art room!

They began by drawing snowflakes with white crayons on a white paper.  Then they painted over the snowflakes with cool colors (green, blue, and purple) to reveal the snowflakes.  This is a watercolor resist technique!

Then they cut out the parts of a penguin using shapes and glued them all together.

They finished by adding snow to the ground with white paper and gluing their penguins to the snow.  Some added winter accessories to their penguins if they had extra time.
