Fourth Grade Dinner Table Traditions

Fourth grade artists showed some of their family traditions as well as perspective with this drawing assignment!

They learned a little about how the shapes of table tops, rugs, plates, and glasses might be changed if you are looking at them from different angles. Then they tried to draw their own family’s dinner traditions while drawing everything from one perspective or point-of-view.

Everyone tried to include as many details about their own family as they could from the table shape, to the style and number of chairs, the food on the table, the space around the table, and the number of place settings.

Some students showed a special holiday table, or rug if they eat on the floor, and others showed how they eat on a regular night.

Thank you to Mrs. Russel from Henry Ford Elementary for the lesson inspiration!
