First Grade Mondrian Collages

On the third day of art class first grade artists reviewed the primary colors, red, yellow, and blue. We looked at some of the paintings of Pete Mondrian and saw how he used the primary colors (and black and white) to create many different masterpieces.

They each created their own primary color master pieces by gluing down primary color papers and then printing black lines with cardboard and paint.

Even though we all used the same colors and materials, all of our papers look different!
