Mrs. Klein’s Architecture from Pakistan

The fifth grade artists in Mrs. Klein’s class have been studying the country of Pakistan in class.  In the art room they each chose a famous piece of architecture from Pakistan and drew it as they saw it in their photo.

They focused on adding as much detail from the building as they could.

Then they added value to their buildings by shading with their pencil.  They tried to find dark, medium, and light values in the building that would match the value scales they made.

Artists painted a background using different texture techniques with paint and then glued their building to their painted background.
