First  grade artists used the element of SHAPE in their artwork.

We looked at the artwork of Mary Blair and some of her castle paintings.

We noticed how they were made out of smaller shapes all added together to make the castle.

Each artist cut out some of their own shapes and glued them together to make a castle.
