Mrs. Salami’s Falling Leaves

The first and second grade artists in Mrs. Salami’s class created a falling leaves painting at the beginning of autumn!

Artists looked at different kinds of leaves and drew several of them on their paper.  Since leaves fall off of the tress in fall, some artists chose to add white lines to make the leaves look like they are falling or blowing in the wind.

Inside of each leaf, artists created patterns with shapes and lines.

Then watercolor paints were used to show warm color sin the leaves and cool colors in the sky.
