Today we used information from chapter 1 and from Howard Zinn to write down pros and cons of celebrating Columbus Day. We presented the viewpoints as a class and had a discussion using evidence from the text.

Week of 5/18
We analyzed the whole war (Vietnam PowerPoint and VIETNAM WAR NOTES) and analyzed specific events like the Tet Offensive, the My Lai massacre, the protests (Using American the Story of Us: Vietnam War Protests story of us) and looked at the lasting legacy of the war. The Tet Offensive, My Lai Massacre, and the legacy of Vietnam are on pages 37-44 and 57-61 in this Vietnam War Packet.
