6th, 7th and 8th grade ART

Hi Everyone!

Hope everyone is staying healthy. Please join classroomgoogle.com no later than Monday March 16th. Today I am going to put the codes on this blog for each class, so make sure to join the correct art class. You are required to do the lessons that I assign. You will have no less than 2 assignments per week.

7th grade 2D art

7th grade students are working with a series of portraits.  They started with realism creating a graphite grid portrait and are now finishing up with Pop art.  Students studied Andy Warhol’s work and are now working with photo copies of their own portrait-Just like Warhol.

6th grade art

Students have finished their Autumn Equinox themed sketchbooks.  Students are now working on creating value with blending and crosshatching drawing techniques.  They will be drawing a children’s book illustration using a visual sequence chain to develop their ideas.

7th and 8th grade art 2D

Students are working on the front and back covers of their sketchbooks.  This is an example of the paste paint technique.  This is done in 7th and 8th grade 2d and 3d for the sketch book covers.  The book bindings are different between grade levels. This is and the Elements or Art review lessons are the only overlap of  curriculum.
