8th Grade students are learning about typography and the importance of communicating with the public as a graphic designer.  Students came up with a business proposal and their own logo and product.

7th grade students are working with a series of portraits.  They started with realism creating a graphite grid portrait and are now finishing up with Pop art.  Students studied Andy Warhol’s work and are now working with photo copies of their own portrait-Just like Warhol.

6th grade students are exploring a glue resist technique.  They are using a landscape composition with pastels and oil pastels.  The lesson will be finished with a printmaking frame.

Students have finished their Autumn Equinox themed sketchbooks.  Students are now working on creating value with blending and crosshatching drawing techniques.  They will be drawing a children’s book illustration using a visual sequence chain to develop their ideas.

Students have finished all Elements or Art exercises and have completed the construction of their sketchbooks.

This week students are working on and finishing their coptic sketchbooks.
