Students are working on the front and back covers of their sketchbooks.  This is an example of the paste paint technique.  This is done in 7th and 8th grade 2d and 3d for the sketch book covers.  The book bindings are different between grade levels. This is and the Elements or Art review lessons are the only overlap of  curriculum.

Students continue working on their Autumn Equinox (Fall) collage.

This week students are continuing their color theory exercises.  I did teach a quick review lesson on pattern today.  Students illustrated 4 different types of pattern; Drop, Regular, Irregular and Radial.

Students constructed their own sketch book last week.  This week we are learning about the Autumnal Equinox coming up on 9-22-18 (date could change).  This exercise will give the students an “idea bank” to create their fall collage on the front cover of their sketch book.

7th and 8th grade students review the elements of art.  Students review and learn 4 different color wheels and 16 color schemes.
