Monday

  • Students should turn in their karyotype from Friday
  • They will be given a few questions to answer and attach to the karyotype

  • We will begin to study Chapter 8-3 on meiosis by answering a few questions from the book

Today students will work at identifying the different stages of mitosis and labeling

Table mitosis:  students will use paper chromosomes and model the different stages of the cell cycle

Week of January 18th – Final Exam Review on iLearn

Monday:

MLK day – Peace March 12:00 pm – Library on Michigan Ave

Tuesday:

  • We will go over in small groups and then share with the class our answers on the Cellular Respiration Station Lab – on white boards
  • Students will be given a review for their exam tomorrow – due before the exam

Week of January 11th

Monday

  • We will review before the students take the quiz on photosynthesis
  • Next Chapter – Cellular respiration Ch. 7

Tuesday

We will begin studying cellular respiration by having students share what they know – on white boards – with their table, then class

We will then complete a concept map – based on class room notes

Today we will begin by reading and going over the homework

The students will then complete a station lab –

 they will Read the information and draw the diagram and label it.   Write out the questions and answer them on their own paper.

We will break into groups and each take a station to create a poster and present the information from the station lab completed on Wednesday

 

Friday

Today students are doing a lab on Yeast fermentation.

The lab includes collecting data, graphing and drawing conclusions.

Welcome Back!

Monday:

Today we will start exploring the processes of Photosynthesis:

Tuesday

We are continuing to gather information on the process and structures involved in photosynthesis.

Using diagrams from our text – students will answer inquiry questions given to them
