ELA Program Preview for Grades K-5 To: Parents and District Staff When: Thursday, May 16, 2019 between 3:45 pm – 5:30 pm Where: ASC, Board Room 18700 Audette, Dearborn 48124 Please join us to review the two elementary language arts (reading and writing) programs that will be piloted next year:
Dearborn Public Schools will be piloting each of these highly rated programs in grades kindergarten – 5th grade for the 2019 – 2020 school year. Teachers selected for the pilot will use the same program for the entire year. All teachers will receive training. A resource subcommittee reviewed six programs and rated each through a rigorous process designed to identify the most relevant instructional resources. At the end of the pilot period it is anticipated that an elementary language arts program will be recommended for adoption for the 20-21 school year for all elementary classrooms. |
