Jungle Contest
Student Contest
March is reading month and we want to decorate the main hallway for our theme Even the Jungle Needs Leaders! If you would like to create a Jungle Prop for Snow School keep reading!
What: Create a prop to be hung or placed in our main hallway, (the bigger the better:)
When: Due Friday Feb 28, 2020.
The student who wins first prize will get a Target Gift Certificate for $25.
The winner will be announced on Monday, March 2, 2020.
D-Shines is at Snow!
D-Shines has been at Salina, Long and Miller but now they are at Snow! Wayne State will come and support our students and families with healthy living options! We also we get a school garden!

Snow’s Win-Win Book Sale will begin Wednesday before and after school.
Gently used books will be $.50 each and part of the proceeds with go toward Australia’s Wildlife Fund.
Snow PTA Wants You to Know:
- Popcorn Friday is this coming Friday, the 31st! Bags are $0.50 each. Slips were sent home last week with the PTA Newsletter. If you don’t have a slip, you can send in a piece of paper with your name, teacher, and the amount. Thanks for supporting this fun day!
- We want your input at the next PTA meeting on February 6, at 3:45pm in the library. We will be discussing issues related to traffic & parking around the school, as well as plans for the end of the year picnic, and other upcoming events. Kids are welcome!
- FREE Family Movie Night! Come watch Gnomeo & Juliet (rated G) for a Valentine’s themed evening at Snow. February 7th, doors open at 6:15. Bring blankets and pillows. Popcorn, drinks, and glow-sticks will be for sale. See you there!

Leader in Me Family Book Donations
Please go through your books at home and consider donating them for our Snow School Book Sale! This is a Win/Win for Snow families and friends. Please clean your bookshelves and donate gently used books you think others might like to read. Then our Snow Friends can purchase a book for $0.50 cents and a donation will be made to the World Wild Life Fund.
Please drop off donations outside Mrs. Bush’s office anytime in January.
Sales will begin in February.
The World Wild Life Fund supports Australia’s wildlife affected by bushfires.

Dearborn Librarians Visit Snow School
In December the Dearborn Librarians held an in-school field trip for classes at Snow. The students were all given Library Card Applications and encouraged to go to the library with their family to get a Library Card. The Library Card grants students access to many online books, games, and activities. Please consider over the winter break visiting:

Wear Snow school apparel.
Wednesday, Dec. 18: ”Santa and his helpers”
Wear be a part of Santa and his workshop and dressing like him, elves, toys, reindeer, tree, etc.
Thursday, Dec.19: “Holiday Sweater Day”
Wear a festive or ugly sweater.
Friday, Dec. 20: “Snowed In”
Wear your pajamas and slippers. (Please keep our school dress code in mind. Pajamas must be appropriate for school; please no shorts or spaghetti strap tank tops.)
