Celebration books and projects

Celebration Projects are due on Wednesday, 12/21.  We will be presenting them to the parents at 2:30.  Students should have completed a tri-fold poster board, diorama, Google slide presentation or what ever other way they would like to present their projects.  We have been working on the writing in class.  They should now be finishing the rest of the project at home.  They are available on Google docs to work on at home.  Students should practice presenting their projects at home so they are comfortable explaining it to others.  It would be nice to bring in a food to share that represents the holiday.

Celebration books – some students have asked to bring home this books to finish up their projects at home.  If a parent emails me or responds to this  that they will be responsible for the book, then students may bring their books home today.

If you have any questions please let me know.

Extra Recess tomorrow

I need a parent to help with extra recess tomorrow for those who have finished all their work.   It will probably be indoor recess in the gym because it has been so cold.

Students can bring non-electronic games to play during extra recess.

Please email me if you are able to help.

International Holidays Celebration – You are invited to join us on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 for our International Holidays Celebration.  Students will be presenting their International Holiday.  We will have all the project set up for the parents walk around and see while the students present their projects to each visitor.  If possible students should try to bring little samples of food from their holiday to share.   We have been working on this in class for several weeks and most students have their project save online.  Please help them to make sure their project is ready to present on a poster board, Google slides or whatever other method they would like to present.  Please help them practice presenting at home so they are comfortable with speaking.  I’m really excited to see all the projects!

Star of the Week is Zainab starting on Monday 12/12.

Next week is our Holiday Shop.  Students will preview on Monday and shop on Tuesday or Wednesday.  Please return their envelope with the money so they know who to shop for.
