Native American Research Report and Project – Last week, we started our big research project for the year.  Each child has a topic, we are learning how to take notes, create an outline, rough draft and final draft.  We will be working on this in class.  But there are only 8 class days left before it is due on June 4th, therefore it would be a good idea for students to work on this at home also.  Here is the information needed to create the research paper:

Native American Fair – Each child will be creating a project to go with their research topic and they will present them at our Native American fair in June.  More details on the date to follow soon.  Project should be on a tri-fold board and will be completed at home.  Everything is due June 4th.

Native American Cultural Play – June 5th at 1:30 PM – All families are invited.  Grades 2-5 will be presenting music and information about the Native Americans of North America.

NWEA Testing – This week we are finishing up the make up tests in Math and Reading.  If we get these done we will resume testing in Language on Thursday.

Short week this week and next for Memorial day – no school on Friday 5/25 or Monday 5/28 – Enjoy your long weekend.

Spelling Tests – because we have a short week, the Week 32 spelling test will be on Thursday.  The week 33 spelling test will be on Friday as usual.
