Snow School is using this Parent Survey as a means to elicit your beliefs and opinions to help target areas for the school system to improve and areas to continue to be effective. Walk/Bike to School Wednesday!


UPCOMING this week from the PTA:

  • Don’t forget Wednesday is Walk/Bike to School Day. Find the balloon-marked stations on either side of the school for kids to get a treat for walking or biking to school! Also, wear your school colors!
  • PTA meeting Thursday right after school at 3:45pm in the Media Center/Library. See you there!

Reading Groups have Begun!

Please look for your child’s reading bag and listen to them read each night. The value in this activity is so high both academically and emotionally for your child! If your child struggles to read the entire book, take turns, you read a page and your child reads a page.

We NEED You!!!

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Dearborn Public Schools will be participating in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) as part of the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs for the School Year 2019-2020. All students enrolled at our school can receive a healthy breakfast and lunch and NO CHARGE.

We will still need your household to FILL OUT AND SIGN THE HOUSEHOLD INFORMATION FORM. This is CRITICAL in determining the amount of money our school receives from State and Federal supplemental programs. All information submitted on the forms is confidential. Forms will be coming home this week.

Have a Wonderful Summer!

Dear Snow Families,

This year has flown by so quickly!

Our staff, our students, our PTA, and our parent community have been so helpful.  We are so very proud of our school and have truly enjoyed the partnership and positive collaboration.

Each child is precious and each face is loved and cared for by all of us.  When your child succeeds, we are so thrilled, and when he/she struggles, we work together as a team to improve the situation.

We have done our best to make this year a year of growth, higher achievement and a safe and happy environment for all.  Teachers are working to increase the rigor in instruction while differentiating for students as needed, we have implemented PlayWorks to develop sportsmanship and social skills and we have started Unified to support inclusion and leadership. We are happy to report that our hard work has paid off!  Our Snow Overall School Index Score as reported by the state of Michigan has climbed from 72.58 to 92.63!  Snow is soaring!

To help our students continue to make progress and avoid summer loss, we are asking all Snow students to read over the summer and practice math. Our Snow Summer Challenge is for every student to do iReady for an hour per week and Zearn for one hour per week as well.  Instructions will be sent home today.

Again, on behalf of the Snow Staff, we want to express our appreciation for your efforts to support our initiatives.  We look forward to seeing you all next fall to begin another successful school year together.

We wish you all a wonderful summer, and we hope that you will always encourage your children to practice the Seven Habits of Highly Effective Leadership- always!

Read a good book and don’t forget about iReady and Zearn on Clever this summer!

 

If you are unable to login to Clever on the Dearborn Schools Homepage the first thing you have to do is log off whoever is the current user.  To do that,  go to your email, in the upper right corner there is a circle with your picture or your initial, click on it and then click add new user. Now have your child login, go to Clever and then iReady and Zearn will work.

 

Clever will not allow a person to enter if there is not a Dearbornschools.org email.
