Behavior– I had substitute this afternoon because I had an appointment. Many students were uncooperative and not following directions. This is an ongoing problem with this class. Please talk to your students about the importance of cooperating in school in order to to have an environment conducive for learning. If your student was clipped down on Class Dojo today or any day, please follow through at home with a talk or consequence for their behavior. Thank you for your support.

We will be working on presentations all week, I would like to be done by Friday. I will print any assignments that could be done on the computer for your child and they will do them on paper. Please remember these must be done in their neatest writing so they are I am able to read them clearly.
Missing Work and Reward Recess
Up until 2 weeks ago most students were completing all of their work and going to the reward recess on Friday afternoons. In that last 2 weeks we have had many more students who have unfinished work.
This is probably because of our big project. Doing research is part of the 3rd grade curriculum and it is the first time most kids have done this. That is why I break it down in to little parts and we have been working on it since November. It is also why I cancelled the Writing homework and have reduced the amount of classroom assignments that I given this week (No new reading books, summaries or comprehension questions this week.)
Many assignments were completed and turned in today. I will be recording them tonight and tomorrow. Please check Parent Connect on Saturday and with your child about anything else they have not completed so that we can get more students out for the Reward Recess.
If you have trouble finding any assignment please let me know. Most of the ELA assignments are on Google Classroom. The Social studies assignments are all in the Social Studies Textbook that can be found on Google Classroom also. Remember I don’t use the grades section of Google Classroom, all grades are found in Parent Connect. It is very important to check Parent Connect every week with your child to help them keep up to date.
If there is anything you need help with please email or message me on Class Dojo. I am always willing to help.
