Chaperones for the Field trip

Dear Chaperones,

The PTA offered to pay $5 for each student for our trip.  By mistake our permission slip says you have to pay $7 per person.  It is actually $7 for students and $12 for adults, since the PTA is only paying for students and not adults.  Therefore, all chaperones will need to pay $5 more by tomorrow.  This is a large savings even for members who would pay $8.50 for IMAX and $12.75 for the Factory tour, a total of $21.75 for the same trip.

I also wanted to let everyone know that we will be taking a bus instead of driving cars.  Parents please check in with me,  so I  know you are here.  Then wait in the lobby until the bus comes.

Everyone must have a sack lunch for the trip.

Thanks,

Katie Keebler

Help needed and other reminders

Book bag mom needed – My book bag mom is no longer able to help.  I need a new mom or dad who could come in once a week and switch out our old books for new books in the book bags.   I can be flexible with the day you come, to work around your schedule.

Copy and Cut projects – I have a couple of projects that involve copying and cutting paper.  If you can help please let me know.  Cutting could be done at home.

Possible Move Meeting – I hope everyone takes the time to look at our new possible location on Wednesday 1/15  evening from 6-7 at Henry Ford Community College.  I am excited to hear about what you think if you visited on Friday.

Field Trip – 1/22 – . This next semester brings us another exciting field trip to the Henry Ford Rouge Factory tour as we start our Economics unit.  We will also be learning about their green roof and The Flight of the Butterflies for science.  Make sure you have turned in your slip and if you are chaperoning make sure you have all driving paperwork turned in to the office.

Winter clothing – Please make sure your child has appropriate clothing for the weather.   We will be going outside if the temperature is above 20 degrees.  They need snow pants, snow boots, mittens, hats/hood and a winter coat that zips.  Please check the weather forcast each day to check if we will be going outside.

No school – 1/20 and 1/24, half day in AM on 1/23

Semester end on 1/24 – Report cards will go home the week of 1/27
