Everyone in Mrs. Keebler’s class has homework tonight.  We are finishing our compare and contrast writing assignment on Native Americans past and present.    All students need to show their writing to their parents.   The students and parents need to compare their writing to the rubric that they should have brought home.  I will try to attach it later after my meeting.

We are going to the park next week to help celebrate Earth Day.  We will be going on Wednesday around 12:30.  Parent chaperones are needed.  Please let me know if you are willing to chaperone.

Almost every student has incomplete work for homework tonight from Keebler’s class.  Please check your Parent Connect and complete the assignments tonight.  I am creating a SRA and Towers page on my blog and I am uploading pictures of SRAs and Towers that your students need to complete.  They should know which ones are for them.

There will be no late start tomorrow due to M-Step testing.  Please arrive at 8:35.

I hope everyone had a wonderful spring break!  What wonderful weather we had!!

I could use 1 or 2 parent helpers for our milk carton project, starting Monday morning when school starts to help cut the milk cartons   Please email me if you think you can help.

I had one parent request a retake for the Unit 7 math test for her child.  If there is anyone else that would like to retake the test please let me know, so that I can have a copy of the test ready.  Here is a copy of the study guide again.  Anyone who would like to retake it can do it on Monday, April 13th.

Unit 7 study guide

1/2 gallon Plastic milk jug with handles still needed.- We still have not gotten enough plastic milk jugs for our project.  We need one for every student.  If you have any extra please send them in.

Sticker charts – We did not have time on Thursday to do our finished work stickers and prizes.  Please complete any unfinished work over break and we will give the prizes and stickers on Monday.

Missing assignments – please check your child’s parent connect for missing assignments.  Be sure to click the box on the right side that says “Show all” otherwise you will only see a few days back.  Please email me at keeblek@dearbornschools.org with any completed work.

Finding assignment – I am now able to attach files to Parent Connect.  From now on I will either attach files or put a URL in the instructions of assignments to help you to find the material needed to make up assignments.  It doesn’t look like the URL will be able to have a hyperlink so just copy and paste the link in the search bar and it will bring you to the assignment.

Vacation– I hope everyone is enjoying your spring break.  Relax, enjoy and have fun with each other!  See you next week.

After our trip we had a fun bunny project and gift bags from Medina’s mom.  Thanks!

Reminder – We will start decorating our milk jugs on Thursday.  Please be sure your child has  a 1/2 gallon plastic milk or juice jug for our project.

We are still short $14 in chaperone money.   I wanted to save the chaperones money by charging you $5 instead of $10.   If you have not paid the extra $1.32 please pay it right away.  If you are willing to give $1 or $2 more so that we have enough for the trip, I will really appreciate your generosity.

Wear Howe t-shirts or a RED shirt for field trip tomorrow (including chaperons).

Pack a bag lunch and a snack (no nuts please) because we are eating lunch at 10:30 A.M. Snack is around 1:30 before we get back on the bus.

Chaperones: Please check in with your teacher when you arrive, then wait in cafeteria, the bus should arrive between 9 – 9:30 A.M. Parents are needed to watch for the bus at the backdoor, ask driver if they are going to Cranbrook and tell teachers when bus is here.

We should ALL fit on the bus (chaperones too!).

Not all the chaperones will fit in the Colonial America presentation.

I noticed that the paper passer didn’t pass out all of the spelling homework on Friday.
