Color Run – The kids had an awesome time at the Color Run today!  I will be uploading the pictures that I took to my class picture drive.   I will try to post them by tomorrow night.

Science Homework – We are finishing up our Plants/Animals Unit and beginning a unit on Force and Motion.   I have given class time to complete our worksheet on Plant Part Card game.  If students have not finished it in class they need to complete it at home.    Here is a copy of the Plant Card Games, and the Student Pages if they lost it.  Polster’s class will get time to work on it in class tomorrow, and get their pages tomorrow to complete if it is not done yet.  This will be due for everyone on Monday 5/2.

Directions – on the left side copy the information from the back of the card.  On the right side Explain how this information (structure and function) help the plant survive.  For example – The Blue Heavenly Morning Glory – Under structure and function write – It is poisonous.  Under Explain – write – Because it is poisonous, animals won’t eat it and this will help it survive.

  • Please make sure to pack a lunch for both the children and the adults.  There is no food available at the museum to purchase.
  • Please wear your school t-shirt or another red or brightly colored shirt.
  • If you are sending money for the gift shop for your child please put it in an envelope or Ziploc bag with their name on it.  Please do not send more than $10.
  • All chaperones must have completed the forms in the office to be a chaperone.  If you have not completed the forms then you cannot attend.  You must be 18 years old to be a chaperone.
  • We will be splitting up by 2nd and 3rd grade when we get to the museum.  The 3rd graders have a different schedule and lunch time than the 2nd graders.  The chaperones will be watching only kids that are in their child’s grade level.
  • Chaperones should arrive by 8:45.  Please sign in the office, then let me know that you are here, then you may wait in the cafeteria.  I will need two parents to watch the front and back doors for the bus.  Please let us know what it has arrived.
  • You may ride the bus or follow in your car.   It might be a good idea to arrange to carpool with someone if we don’t have room for everyone on the bus and you don’t want to drive.
  • I still need a permission slip from Maya’s family.
