Both 2nd and 3rd grade students will have a social studies test tomorrow. This is the 3rd grade review. I will post the 2nd grade review later.
Our 1st Marking Period will be ending in about 2 weeks. Quite a few students have missing assignments. Please check your Parent Connect to see is your student is missing assignments or the missing assignment report is below. Many of the assignments papers can be found on the blog. If there is something you can’t find please email me and I can let you know how to find it or send it directly to you.
To help students and parents keep track of when assignments are due, I have decided to start using Google classroom. I have posted some of the assignments that are due this week and all of the students have logged on. I have added the login information to the Links section of my blog. Students can log in check which work needs to be completed and mark it complete when they turn it in. Parents can check what a student needs to complete by logging in as the student (remember the student will be the one checking it completed). To know if it has been turned in and recorded please check Parent Connect.
Loosing points on assignments – students will loose points on their assignments if they are incomplete, have wrong answers, or if there are missing parts like the name, parent signature or reading totals. I am always willing to return the points if the student makes the necessary corrections and turn it in again. They need to learn to do their work carefully so they include everything and don’t loose any points.
Keeping assignments: I suggest you keep your students work for about 1 week after it was due before recycling it. I will do a missing assignment report on Fridays. If they have no missing work that that point it is safe to recycle it. Please check Parent Connect on Fridays for missing work to be completed by the following Monday.
How do I tell if the assignment was recorded? – If there is a check in the upper right hand corner of the paper that means that I have recorded it. If you do not see the check that means I have not seen the assignment and it needs to be turned in.
Lego Club is now full. If you were hoping to have your child be in Lego club they may be able to take more students if they have more parent volunteers. Please let the office know if you would be willing to volunteer.

Dear Families,

Due to the school’s lack of changing facilities, we prefer students not to bring/wear costumes to school. Instead, students may wear his/her favorite fall outfit. Examples include, black and orange, skull shirts, etc. No masks, make-up, or weapons. Thank you, Howe Staff
