Hello Howe Families! Just a few reminders about the summer school program….

Howe Discovery program begins on Monday, June 23rd. Hours are 8:20am-3:20 pm.

Before care tutoring begins at 8 am and your child must be registered. All students begin with breakfast at 8:20 am.

After school care is 3:20- 4pm. (Your child must also be signed up for this tutoring session to stay.)

All Montessori students will be dropped off and picked up at Door 18.

Extended school year families will do their normal routine with bussing.

Students should come with water bottles and a snack. If you do not want school breakfast and lunch please pack. The choices will NOT be posted daily like during the school year.

If you are not subscribed to the Howe school blog please do that before summer school starts.  That is how updates will be shared about the summer program! Click on the link below. Due to the Eid holiday we have decided to change the party date. It will now be tomorrow from 2:45-3:30. 3rd grade should pick up their child in the cafeteria have a treat and say goodbye to Mrs. Reed and Mrs. Keebler.

We made it! This week will be the last week of 3rd grade! I am looking forward to doing some “fun activities” this week.

Monday will be a normal school day.

Tuesday is field day so we have stuff planned all day long. We are moving around outside between the stations and please bring their water bottles. Your child also needs a TOWEL for the afternoon fire truck. We will be going to the playground after and no one will be allowed back in the building. If you would like to take your child early that is fine! I will be on the playground and you can check them out with me.

Wednesday is a summer birthdays, our 3 summer birthday girls will be brining pizza, drinks and cupcakes. We will celebrate around noon. You may also bring electronics, and students may play on their electronics that day if they choose.

Thursday is picnic day. Pack them a special lunch (hot lunch will still be available if you want that). Bring a towel or blanket to sit on outside. 5th grade graduation will be happening at 12:30.

On Friday we have just a half day of school. If your child will not be attending that day please let me know so I can make sure all of their stuff goes home before then!

If you wish to attend, Mrs. Reed and I will be having a Retirement/Montessori Reunion party at the end of the school day to say goodbye to former and current students and parents. If you know or have any former students please feel free to bring them by. You can pick up your students in the cafeteria.
