Math Book pick up – Math books will be available to be picked up on Wednesday 5/6 from 11-2 PM, I think. If it is different I’ll let you know. I am giving you the math books for the rest of the year. Some of them you should already have. I found some of them at school for students, 2, 4, 9, 10, 11, 19 and 20. Those students will get a bag with their name. Everyone else will get a bag without a name.

New Star of the Week is Jad – our new star of the week this week. He will be sharing all the things we shared when we could meet as a classroom but now it is all virtual. I will add his Virtual Poster to Class Dojo. Here are the changes: instead of making a poster of pictures about your life, please make us a Google slide presentation that I can share with the class. Insead of bringing in show and tell, please make us a video to share your show and tell. You can also make a video to share your favorite book. Please have your parents write us a letter telling us what makes you so wonderful and special to them.

Hussein will be Star of the week 6/1

Research – I was excited to see the first completed research project. Remember when your assignments are completed you may do research and create a Google slide presentation to add to your portfolio.

Pictures for Mr. Borg – He would like to see pictures of you doing something active. So would I! Post a picture on Class Dojo of you doing something active and I will share it with Mr. Borg.

Meetings will continue in iLearn – They are continuing to work on the sound problem. If we have a big problem with sound we will just try again at the next meeting time or I can meet individually in Google Meet. We will keep the same schedule. If these times don’t work for your family please let me know and I’ll try to make other arrangements.

Reminder – Today and tomorrow are make-up days. Please check Parent Connect for missing work. Be sure you have the little “Show all assignments” box checked by each subject in Parent Connect or it only will show you a few assignments. As you finish things up please let me know and I will go grade them and record the grades. Please do your spelling test today or tomorrow.

Google Slides – If you are finished with everything on Parent Connect then you may research a topic of your choice. Make a Google slide presentation and add it to your portfolio. Directions on how to do this were posted yesterday.

Math Books – I am going to the school today to get your math books ready for pick up. I think they will be available for pick up next Wednesday. I will send a blog post to let you know the time. I won’t be available to help students this morning while I am at the school.

Meetings – I will still meet today with everyone. I would like to make sure you know how to do the new video chat in iLearn and you know what your need to do for missing work.
