March is Reading month starts tomorrow – Here is a link to read all about it. Reading logs went home yesterday.

Popcorn Friday – March 3rd – send in a dollar to support the PTA and get a popcorn.

Class pictures were also sent home yesterday.

Citywide Art Show – Congratulations to Joshua from our class, he has been chosen to be part of the City Wide Art Show.

The annual Dearborn Public Schools City Wide Art Show featuring select student art work from across the district returns on March 8.

An opening reception will be held on Wednesday, March 8 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the Padzieski Gallery. A senior spotlight, featuring some of the district’s amazing high school artists, will be held at 5:30 p.m. that evening.

The City Wide Art Show is a longstanding spring tradition in Dearborn, a collaboration between the district and the City of Dearborn.  Art teachers from across Dearborn Public Schools select pieces of student artwork to have displayed at the show.  Two-dimensional and three dimensional creations will be on display highlighting student artists from elementary through high school.

The student artwork will be on display at the gallery through April 15, 2023. The Padzieski Gallery is inside the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center, 15801 Michigan Ave., Dearborn. Admission is free. The gallery is open Wednesday to Friday from noon to 6 p.m. and Saturday from noon to 4 p.m.

Parents and other interested residents are invited to preview two elementary science curricula that are being piloted in the district.

Amplify and PhD science program materials are currently being piloted in some schools in the district.  Piloting the science programs could lead to their full adoption in all the district elementary grades.

Representatives from both programs will be available on Thursday, March 9, 2023 from 4 to 6 p.m. to answer questions about their program and materials. The preview event will be held in the boardroom in the Administrative Service Center, 18700 Audette St., Dearborn.
