Dear Parents,
Howe PTA is sponsoring a really cool event with all kinds of different opportunities for fundraising and prizes. The biggest prize is an iPad mini, there are Zap Zone gift cards, Target gift cards, stuffed animals, cash and more. There is even a pizza party for the winning class. This will be the PTA’s biggest event of the year so it would be awesome to show your support. The money we raise will go 100% for the students, it will be used for field trips, assemblies, fun hands-on science workshops and much more. We have many exciting plans and we really appreciate your support in helping us fulfill our plans.
Please turn in the pink “Early Bird” forms by next Wednesday, October 2nd.
Attached is a package of information that will make much more sense tomorrow afternoon. This is just to get you primed. More detailed information will be sent home tomorrow with your child so please be sure to look for it.
Lice Prevention
Dear Parents,
As you already know from the note at the beginning of the week we have lice in our room. Please try to be proactive and buy some type of lice prevention product. Fairy Tales is a brand that has several kinds there are many others. Please keep the girls’ hair tied back in a pony tail or bun. Please keep the boys’ hair shorter for a while. Please check your child’s hair daily for lice or eggs (nits), let me know right away if you spot any on your child. In order to prevent spreading this in our room and school, please keep your child at home until all nits and lice are gone. You are not required to keep them home after the first treatment; however last year some classrooms had lice in their room for months because children didn’t stay home and it kept spreading. Welcome Back Everyone!
Hello Everyone,
Our new school year is quickly approaching, before the year starts I wanted to update my email list so that I can start sending out new information to my new class. If you have gotten your new teacher information and you are in my class then Welcome! If you don’t know who your teacher is please email me and I can tell you.
I hope everyone had a wonderful summer. I have added photos from last year to my new blog. They are on the right side under categories, then photos.
I am very excited about the new year, I have a lot of fun, exciting activities planned for this year. I look forward to seeing everyone on Tuesday at 8:35 for our first day. Remember it is a 1/2 day and dismissal is a 11:45.
