A Peek at the Week

Chaperones – Polster and Keebler Trip – Cranbrook is giving us 7 free chaperones, so instead of me charging everyone the $10 chaperone fee, I estimated with the amount of chaperones we might get I would charge $5 a chaperone.   However, we got many  more chaperones than I estimated and we are $25 short.    Each chaperone now needs to pay $1.32 more.  Please try to have exact change or just pay $1.50 to make it easier.  There are 7 people that already paid an extra $1.  I was going to give you change the day of the trip but now I will include it as part of the extra money owed.

I am giving the final count to Cranbrook tomorrow.  There will be no chaperones added after tomorrow and if you are added tomorrow you must pay the full $10.

Readers needed – We are still competing for the most readers.  If you would like to read to our class please let me know.  We will be doing reading under the stars in the gym on Friday.

1/2 Gallon Jugs needed – each student in both Mrs. Keebler’s and Mrs. Polster’s class needs to send in a 1/2 gallon plastic jug with a handle.  If you have extras please send in more than one.  Please clean and dry it and put your students name on the bottom (unless it is an extra).  Please send ASAP.  Thanks!

Report Cards will be out this Wednesday– please watch the parent folder

Parent – Teacher Conferences – this Thursday 3/26 by invitation only.  They only give us one day in the spring, so we only meet with about 1/3 of the class.  If you feel you need to talk about your report card or other issues please let me know and we can schedule a meeting.

Sticker Chart – Please be sure you check your students sticker chart each week – Every Friday they should be getting a sticker for completing all the work for that week.  If they didn’t get a sticker, then they have missing work and should complete it over the weekend and return it on Monday.  I will also be giving them a list of their missing assignments each Friday and this should be in the folder with their sticker chart.

Missing Assignments – When checking for missing assignments please be sure that you click the “Show all” box near the top.  Otherwise you will only get the recent assignments.

This marking period has been much better than the last one for missing assignments.  However, as we get closer to the end of the marking period the numbers are getting higher.   PLEASE check your child’s Parent Connect and assists them in making sure they complete their missing assignments.  Most papers are now attached to the Lesson Plans.   Also there is a new feature on Parent Connect that lets me attach the assignment right to Parent Connect.  I have attached a few so far, and I will start attaching more in the future.  This will make it much easier for parents to find and print assignments.  The following students have 4 or more assignments missing: 1, 4, 7, 12, 14, 16, 17 in Keebler’s class and 12 and 17 in Polster’s class.
