On Friday I sent home a couple of things that need to be returned:
- Report cards and NWEA test scores – you make keep the reports, please sign and return the envelope
- Spirit Wear order for Howe School Sweatshirts and T-shirts – Please return by 2/4.
Academics –
Math test – We finished unit 4 math last week and took the assessment. Most students did really well! If your student didn’t do well on their test and you would like to study with them at home, they may take a retake to improve their score. Just let me know when they are ready.
We are beginning unit 5 on Fractions in math. I have paused the multiplication and division tests for a few weeks to make sure everyone is fluent in Addition and Subtraction first. We seem to have a few gaps. We are continuing Power of Flowers unit in science. We will be taking the unit test soon. We are starting Unit 6 in Language Arts called: Making Decisions.
MobyMax Contest – I have started a new MobyMax contest which will run until the end of February. Students earn points, game times and prizes for learning new concepts and answering questions correctly.
No School – February 18-22
Virtual School on March 1st.
