End of Year

on June 6, 2020

Wow, this has been a strange school year!! But we made it through and it is almost over! We are almost on summer break!!

Missing work – I have posted all the work for the year and everything is due by Tuesday 6/9 at 7PM. This will give me time to grade and record all assignments for report cards. Please send me a Class Dojo text or email with the specific work that your child completes. Please check Parent Connect for missing work and make sure you have the “show all assignments” button checked so that you can see all assignments.

Padlets – these are a fun way to share pictures, videos and messages with the class. Hopefully, you have joined in the school Padlets that have been set up. I am creating several Padlets for our class and I will be posting them in Class Dojo to keep them private to just us.

  • There is a talent show Padlet on the blog – I will also add it to Class Dojo. Make a video of your talents to show to the class.
  • Bucket Filler Padlet – this is for sending messages to your classmates to fill their buckets and say goodbye for the school year.
  • Yearbook/Photo Padlet – I have created a Padlet of all the pictures I took this year. Enjoy them and add your own pictures also.

Next Week’s Activities – I have some fun activities planned for next week. These will replace the reading group meetings:

  • Monday Elizabeth is planning an online Pow Wow – at 2:00 PM
  • Tuesday we will be taking a Virtual Trip to the San Diego Zoo at 2:00 PM
  • Wednesday we will have a Virtual Class Party – we will celebrate the summer birthdays, dance, play pictionary, a scavenger hunt and say goodbye to our friends at 2:00 PM.

Location and Rules

  • We will all meet in the ELA Class in iLearn.
  • Please remember the online rules, only one person can talk at a time.
  • Keep your microphone off if you are not talking.
  • I will open up private chat for private conversations, but remember to keep it school appropriate, because anything you say can be seen by the school.
  • We will use the public chat to make requests or talk to the whole group or teachers.

As always, if you have any questions about missing work, where to find something or how to do something, please send me an email or Dojo message. I am happy to help!
