We have a fun Final Week Planned

on June 11, 2017

Outdoor Fun Day –  Tuesday June 13 we will have the dunk tank and bounce house.  Below is  a schedule that should work for everyone. Everyone will have 15 minutes at each activity. Hopefully we will have a few parents who can be here to help from 10:00 to 2:30.  The plan is to have the activities in the grass area near where the C.I. buses pick up and drop off.  Mr. Borg and Mr. Josh will be in the dunk tank.   Parents are welcome! If you would like you may bring a picnic lunch to eat outside or if you are fasting you can just come to have fun with the kids and socialize with the other parents.

Summer resources for students:

You should have already gotten a paper with a list of all the online resources that the school pays for that will help students maintain their academic over the summer.  It is important to continue reading, writing and doing math all summer so that your students don’t loose ground and fall behind.  Here are some more recourse from the Michigan Department of Education.

Now that the school year is winding down and everyone is looking forward to a great summer vacation, the MeL team would like to remind everyone of the great resources Michigan residents have free access to through the Michigan eLibrary. Families can find resources to help ease the summer slide, read eBooks, conduct research, create reading lists, and prepare for college, careers, and high stakes tests like the SAT.

To help promote the resources, some of our content providers have created short videos that highlight their database(s) and how students can use them over the summer.  We have created a playlist on the MeL YouTube Channel (https://goo.gl/fDC4Be) and a 2017 Summer Resources Letter that can be either emailed (or printed and sent home) to Michigan K-12 families.  Please help distribute this letter to as many schools and families as possible.  You may also want to subscribe to the MeL YouTube Channel, so you keep up to date on the latest with the Michigan eLibrary!

The letter is available in the following formats:
