3rd grade Math Make up test – There were a few students who got less than 80% on the Unit 1 test and will be retaking the test on Monday.   If you would like your student to retake the test please let me know.  Please help them study at home.

Homework – I have updated the homework page on my blog to make sure everyone knows what is expected.  I have added links to the new math facts tests, a link to why it is important to read 20 minutes, a link to the reading log if you lost it ( I am still missing logs from September).

MAP testing – We will continue doing the MAP test this week.  Students will be tested on Wednesday morning from 9-11.  Make sure they have a good breakfast and are well rested.

Weather is changing – as the weather gets cooler please make sure the students are dressed in layers.  Make sure they have warm coats.  We will go outside most days unless it is raining.

Healthy Snack – we have snack each morning around 10 am.  We ask that the student bring a health snack, preferably fruits or veggies.  We count our fruits and veggies brought in each day and students are rewarded with extra recess when we get to 800.  This is usually about once a month sometimes sooner if everyone participates.  Since we have carpet in our room now, I ask that you don’t send in any messy snacks that could spill and leave a mess on the carpet.  I only allow water to drink in the room.  Thanks for your cooperation.

Quizlet – This is a wonderful new program that I will be using to help student study for tests.  Click on the following link: quizlet.com and create a user name and password.  After joining click on the link on the left of the screen to join a class or click on the link below.
