Good afternoon,
Food distribution for our Dearborn Public School families will begin tomorrow at the following schools from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. :
Dearborn High, Edsel Ford High, Fordson High, Woodworth, Salina Inter. & McCollough/Unis will provide “grab & go” breakfast and lunch bags. Students do not need to pick-up, one person from a family can go and pick up food bags for all children 18 and under in their family. This will be on the Honor System, no lunch cards will be needed! Enjoy!
Hello everyone! I miss you!! I hope you are all doing well! Anyone want to be my penpal and write notes to me while we are off of school? I’ll write you back! Let’s do it! My email is : grizzed@dearbornschools.org Tell me how your day or weekend went! I’d LOVE to hear from you!
Even though school is closed, we still have to make sure that our brains stay sharp! Each WEEK 2nd graders should be on i-Ready for a minimum of 2 hours; read good-fit books for 20 mins. DAILY; and do one lesson on Zearn DAILY.
A BIG shout-out to Hannah, Aubrey, Kenan and Issa for already starting their i-Ready minutes for the week! GREAT JOB!
-Mrs. Grizzell
Dear Snow Families,
The Michigan Department of Education MDE has recently given Snow a school grade of letter “A”! Our students are performing and we want to continue to soar! During this time of shut down, we are going to work hard to continue student learning. We are asking all Snow families to do the following:
-iReady for a minimum of 2 hours per week.
-Read “Good fit” books. (K-2) 20 min daily, (3-5) 30-45 min daily.
-At least 1 lesson per day on Zearn.
-4th and 5th grade Khan Academy for 20 minutes daily.
-Grades 2-5 will receive assignments via Google Classroom.
There will be additional assignments based on classrooms/grades. Teachers and support staff will be monitoring student learning.
Please check your emails regularly! This will be the main method of communication between school and home. Phone calls will be made as necessary.
Due to the fact that we are moving to online learning for this period of shut down, please limit recreational screen time! (Social media, YouTube, video games, television, etc…)
Teacher Blogs:

iReady, Moby Max, Khan Academy and Google Classroom all can be accessed through Clever. Directions to login will be posted on the Snow blog.
I will make announcements as I receive them on the Snow blog. Thank you in advance for supporting our students!
Sincerely,

Good morning families!
I hope you are well during this time of uncertainty. You may have gotten a message to come to the school to pick up things. You do NOT have to do this for my class. Our learning will be online while we are off school. We will use ZEARN for math and i-Ready for reading. More details will come soon. Stay safe!
Dear Snow Families,
A short 2-3 question survey will be going home today. Please fill this out and return with your child tomorrow. Have a great day!
Mrs. Alcodray
Dear Families,
We are all set for our ½ day field trip tomorrow morning to the Dearborn Historical Museum. Please be sure to send your child to school on time. We will leave as soon as the bus is ready. Parent chaperones: please meet us in the classroom by 8:50a.m. We will go over group assignments and rules before we leave. 🙂
Thank you,
Mrs. Grizzell and Ms. Guadiana
Dear Snow Families,
We are noticing an increase in traffic congestion along Culver at dismissal. Cars should not be waiting or parked in the bus lane. You may be ticketed. Officer Krakowski will be present at dismissal.
There is parking available on Houston, Ash and Texas. Please get here early enough to park your car and walk over to meet your child.
Thank you in advance for keeping Snow student safe!Thank you,
Amal Alcodray
