The annual Holiday Sing Along is almost here and you are invited! It will take place on December 20th in the Howe Gym at 9am. All of our students from the Howe Montessori and Center-Based program will be in attendance and parents are welcome to join us.

The new reading log is due Monday, January 6 and it is located on the reading log tab.

With Winter Break approaching I wanted to inform everyone of our Holiday Party plans for next week.

Students and staff are welcome to dress up in festive clothing like red/green, Santa hats, reindeer antlers, Christmas light necklaces, garland, etc. Parents are welcome to do the same.

Please remember that Howe is a scent-free school as we have students and staff with allergies. Thanks!

Wednesday- Twin Day

Thursday- PJ day! Wear your favorite holiday pjs to school!
(Please also bring in a new pair of pajamas or a monetary donation for our school’s Girl Scout troop who is doing a pj drive)
Friday- Wear Red or Green for our school’s holiday sing along.
Holiday hats or headbands are included.

Don’t forget that tomorrow is picture retakes.

Our next PTA meeting is this Thurs., Dec. 5 at 3:45 p.m. in the cafeteria. All parents are welcome! We will be discussing our upcoming events, including the Holiday Shop, Movie Night and LEGO club. We hope to see you on Thursday!

Our holiday shop is next week, Tuesday-Thursday.  If you could all please reblog the following link (if you haven’t already), that would be awesome.  We were very short staffed for the book fair, so the more help we have from you all to encourage parent volunteers, the easier it will be to make this event fun for the kids.

Mr. Hesch’s class is selling Howe School lanyards! All proceeds will benefit the classroom cooking program here at Howe!

There is a yellow note coming home today about our new dismissal guidelines that will be enforced starting Monday, December 2, please check your child’s folder.

Picture Retakes are Friday, December 6. The students original packet must come back with them for their re-takes.

If you’re a parent who received an i-chat form, it has to be returned completely filled out because it has to be verified by the district before the field trip.

Permission slip & payment for the Lansing Trip is due Friday!

We must have accurate numbers and payment in order to secure bussing for the Lansing trip. For this reason, payment is due on Friday and exceptions cannot be made for permission slips turned in after Friday.

We have had 30 replies to our survey.  Thank you to everyone who replied so quickly.  If you have not replied yet please reply be Sunday 11/17 at noon.  Right now there are only 45 people attending so we will only order one bus.  We would like to have a pizza sale on Thursday to help any students having trouble paying the amount.  If you are willing to donate any pizza for Thursday’s after school sale please let your child’s teacher know.If you have not taken the survey please take it right away.  Here is the link:  Lansing Survey
