Goings on during spring break in Dearborn:
  *   Monday, March 28- Field Trip Day: Any student ages 5-10 is welcome to participate in our special field trip day with their family. This trip is aimed at home school students, non-DPS students, and DPS students who missed the trip in 2020 or 2021. Registration is available here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/field-triphome-school-day-registration-272776651307
  *   Thursday, March 31- Arab American Heritage Month Exhibit Opening: We have a special exhibit opening at the Ross House in honor of Arab American Heritage Month. From 12-2 PM that day we will have food, music, and activities like learning to write in Arabic. All are welcome for this free, family-friendly event. The exhibit is being put together largely by our interns, at least one of whom is a former Dearborn Public School student (as is Chris who is coordinating these events for the museum and our field trips there). Either email me/email or Ms. Bernadette (drennob@dearbornschools.org) or call the office with the asset tag number that is on their students chromebook. If your student does not have a chromebook, we need to update that as well. We have been informed by computer services that if a number is not listed on the chromebook inventory sheet that was shared in February that their computer will be disabled in the near future.

Thank you for gift of money for the Book Fair this week, I was able to purchase 6 new books for the classroom. The students are super excited about all their purchases and mine! 🙂

Howe School Summer Academic and Enrichment Program

We are so excited to announce that we will, once again, be offering the Howe School Summer Academic and Enrichment Program for all our students in Kindergarten-4th grades. The program will run from 9 am-2 pm on Mondays-Thursdays beginning June 27-July 28. (There will be no school on July 4 for the holiday). Students will have daily opportunities for fun while engaging in special classes, STEM, Math, and Reading. Whole school activities will be planned weekly to round out the program. The program is free of charge and will include free breakfast and lunch. Please use this link to enroll your child in the summer program. It is important to register now! Classes and groupings will be determined based on enrollment numbers. Exiting 5th-grade students will be invited to attend their future middle school placements. Incoming Howe School kindergarteners are welcome to attend Howe.

Parent Survey- Your Input is Needed!

We want to hear from you. This survey is to help us understand the quality of services provided to learners and their families.  The survey results can be used to support the continuous improvement process and revisit school start times, late start and ½ days for next year.   Your responses are anonymous, and no individual results are reported. Thank you for your support. The survey will remain open until March 18, 2022. Click on this link to take the survey: Parent/Family Survey Link . As you read each item, think about all of the adults in your child’s school.
