Last Week of School

I’m sure you’re all relieved school is ending, I know we all need a break, I am hopeful that we will have a better summer.

Here is the email I sent the students:

There is no new work assigned this week.  Remember to check over past week’s assignments, see if you can complete anything you haven’t done or may have missed.

Look at the google slide memory book, add your memories by Wednesday, I want to look through it on Wednesday’s meeting.

We have a meeting today and Wednesday at 1:30 P.M and one on Thursday at 9:00 A.M. to say a final good-bye to 4th grade.  Please definitely try to make Wednesday’s meeting.

I will be sending out a survey for the students and a separate one for your parents to complete.  Also, is there anything you want or need me to do this week, now is the time to request.

Student Belonging Pick-up

Any student belongings or medications that were left at school will be available for pick-up Tuesday, June 2, and Wednesday, June 3 from 11:00-2:00. At that time we will also be collecting any musical instruments, library books, or classroom reading books that were borrowed from the school. Pickup will be located in the circular drive near the Howe School Office.

If you borrowed a Chromebook, we will not collect them until fall so students can use them for learning over the summer.

Good Morning Families,

I keep adding any passwords and class codes to the Computer Passwords and Links page on the blog, check out above.

I have added a math google classroom, class code egyk55j, the math google classroom offers video lessons, problem set and homework assignments for those of you who are struggling with zearn.  You don’t have to do these problems, I wanted a resource and support for you, because we are working on fractions and I want you to have as much support as possible.

I have added the whole week’s assignments, some of the parents are more comfortable with looking at the whole week’s plan.

Grading, for this marking period, students will receive feedback on weekly assignments in the form of narrative comments.

  • Meeting:  regularly submitted work and attended check-ins
    • Accuracy of work assessed on standards/graded
    • High participation
  • Progressing:  Submitted most assignments and attended some of the check-ins
  • Limited Participation:  little or no participation due to circumstances shared with teacher.

Please remember we are all doing our best right now, we are struggling but figuring out this process of working from home.  If there is anything I can support you with, make more clear on the assignments, answer please don’t hesitate to email me.

There will be a google hangout this afternoon at 1:30, directions will be on google classroom about 10 minutes before.
