Work Packets

Work Packets

If you haven’t already, you will be receiving your child’s work packet in the mail (early this week).  Although students are familiar with these types of activities, they will require guidance and support in order to complete the tasks.  If you have any questions and/or concerns please let me know (kubertc@dearbornschools.org).

This week I will be reaching out to discuss your child’s contingency plan for the remainder of the school year.

Have a great Monday; it is going to be a beautiful day! I miss you all!

Meal Pickup Update

Meal Pickup Update

Due to Ramadan, we are moving meal distribution later at four of our schools. Starting Friday, student meal distributions will be from noon to 2 p.m. at Fordson High, Salina Intermediate, Woodworth Middle and McCollough Elementary. The later time will continue through Memorial Day.
Food will still be handed out between 10 a.m. and noon at Dearborn High, Edsel Ford High and Smith Middle School.
All seven sites will continue to distribute on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, except for the week before and after Memorial Day.

Continuation of Learning

Continuation of Learning

Per the announcement from Dearborn Public Schools, school will continue remotely at home with parent support.  Students are expected to continue education by completing activities provided by the teacher via the iBlog and work packets that will be mailed to your home each week (starting the week of April 27th).  Please remember that these activities are to be done with guidance and support.  Allow students to make choices through eye gaze and/or reach and provide hand-over-hand support along with verbal and physical prompting.

Starting this week, and for the remainder of the school year, someone from your child’s team will be reaching out a couple times each week (through phone, text or e-mail) for guidance, support, and feedback on student progress.  Also, each student will have a contingency plan that will be created and shared with you by April 28th; your child’s IEP team will create these plans.

I know this change has been hard and it will take some time to feel comfortable with the new plan in place.  If we work together as a team, we can keep the children engaged and participating to the best of our ability!   Please know that I am here for you if you have any questions and/or concerns.  Please feel free to reach out to me at any time: kubertc@dearbornschools.org

Please stay well!
