End of the Month Update!
Thank you, thank you, thank you, for sending back the field trip permission slips and money! Also, thank you to everyone who is able to join us on November 17th; we look forward to a wonderful trip!
Picture Day is scheduled for Monday, October 17th! Look for the Lifetouch order forms to come home this week!
We have a lot of fun activities planned for October focusing on apples, pumpkins, and bats! Activities include: an apple investigation, making applesauce, and carving a pumpkin! We will also have a new color of the month, black! Look for the surprise bag to come home throughout the month!
Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum
Today I will be sending notes home about our trip to the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum on November 17th. Although it seems early, they require a deposit in advanced to secure our place. The cost of the trip will be $20.00/student. This price includes admission, a sensory lab experience, the reservation of a lunchroom, and all bussing fees.
Please return the forms and money by September 28th!

Mid-Month Update!
It has been a great start to the school year! Thank you to everyone who has sent in supplies, your contributions are greatly appreciated!
Looking ahead, we are planning two major field trips this year! We will be going to the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum, Thursday November 17, 2016 as well as the Detroit Zoo, Thursday May 4, 2017! More details will follow, if you have not yet signed the field trip permission slip, please do so ASAP.
Also, a friendly reminder to please send in all braces and hand-splints daily. We have PE on Mondays and Wednesdays, and PT on Tuesdays (PT is subject to change).

Open House!
Please join us on September 20th from 6:00 to 7:30 PM for Open House.
Before the Open House the Green Team will be having a Bake Sale at 5:30 to raise fund for the Green Team. The Green Team is a group of 4th and 5th graders that meet after school to help make our school and our community a greener place. Please help support green team by donating baked good (in the office kitchen) or purchasing baked goods in the cafeteria.
Additionally, the first PTA meeting will be held during this time at 7:00 PM in the cafeteria. You can support the PTA and all it does for our students by signing up for individual membership that is only $10, by providing input and volunteering for school events/activities, and/or by attending PTA meetings. The PTA meetings are scheduled as follows:

October 18 – 6-8pm (meeting) – in cafeteria
