Welcome back everyone! We will start today by listening to one of my favorite back to school stories, First Day Jitters by Julie Danneberg. Enjoy! 🙂

Next, I’d like you to do a back to school scavenger hunt with your families!! At school, we use a lot of different school supplies…what can you find at home? Bonus points if you send me a picture of you and your scavenger hunt items!

What will this week look like?

What will this week look like?
  • You will find a video or activity on the blog for each day of the week. This will start today (stay tuned) to be used by families to engage in learning together.
  • I will be contacting families as we connect and learn the new Schoology platform.
  • Learning labs will begin the week of September 21. I will be contacting each family to go over the details
  • We will be developing new contingency plans for the upcoming school year
  • Chrome Books are available for families to checkout. I will be checking to see if you would like access to one for your home
  • *Please note that the district will now be using Zoom for virtual meetings!

Welcome to the 2020-2021 School Year!

Welcome to the 2020-2021 School Year!

I hope everyone is healthy, happy, and had some time to enjoy the summer!  As we begin this new school year, it comes with questions and concerns on how everything will look with changes due to the Covid-19 pandemic.  As information is provided, I will be sure to share it with families.

The beginning of our school year, we will be completely virtual (school hours will be 8:15-3:10, half days will end at 11:10).  The first week of school, August 31st-September 3rd will be half days).  There is no school September 4th and September 7th for the Labor Day holiday weekend.

“Learning labs” will begin the week of September 21st.  I will be contacting families individually next week for scheduling.  “Learning labs” will run daily with a morning session and an afternoon session.  Each session will be 2.5 hours and bussing will be provided.  I am personally very excited about the opportunity for “Learning labs,” I cannot wait to work face-to-face with the students in small individualized groups! 🙂

If you have any questions and/or concerns please feel free to e-mail or text me! 🙂
