6th grade classes learned about family vocabulary, body vocabulary & culture in Spanish. We played Jeopardy as a review. Please make sure to have all supplies (folder, thin dry erase marker, pencil, red pen, planner, and Spanish packet). All pages in the packet should be complete by the day of the test. I have also assigned Quizlet online homework. Students have written this information in their planners. Quizlet assignments can be made up. Please have students email me when they are completed. Students in B day will have their test on Friday, March 3rd and students in A day will have their test on Monday, March 6th. Students will begin German next week focusing on greetings, culture, and numbers.

7th & 8th grade conversational Spanish classes: Students played Jeopardy to prepare for their first test that was on Tuesday. Students can retake exams up to an 80%. Retake day will be next Friday, March 10th. Please make sure to have your supplies: pencil, red pen, folder, 2 notebooks, thin dry erase marker and planner. Students also learned about definite/indefinite articles, how much, a lot, a little, and tener expressions. Students also learned new vocabulary in chapter 4 focusing on classes and class supplies. Welcome to a new semester/card marking period!
6th grade classes learned about PBIS expectations this week. Please make sure to have all supplies ready for next week (folder, thin dry erase marker, pencil, red pen, planner, and Spanish packet printed if you are able to). I still need more parents to email me information about their child as well. We will be starting Spanish next week. Homework will include pages 1-3 for B day and pages 1-2 for A day. Students will continue learning about greetings, Independence Day in Mexico and definite/indefinite articles next week.
8th yearlong Spanish classes finished up their grammar notes this week. We learned about conjugating -ar verbs as well as ir and jugar. Students took their Ch. 3 Vocab 2 quiz today. Weather google slides should be submitted and book work will be in the gradebook system this weekend. We will have our Ch. 3 test next Friday. Please continue studying and completing quizlet!
Friday, January 27th
Today was the last day of semester classes. Students in my 1st hour Exploring Language class and 4th/5th hour Conversational Spanish classes will all have new classes on Monday which will also be a half day. Students completed exams this week and will have all their grades posted today.
Yearlong 8th grade Spanish students began working on conjugating verbs in the -ar forms. They will continue to learn new grammar concepts this week. They will have their vocabulary 2 quiz on chapter 3 this upcoming Friday. Have a great weekend!

6th grade: Students learned about days, months, and colors in ASL this week. I will review concepts with B day next week. If some students are not ready to take the test on Tuesday, we can wait until the next class. Student will have their ASL test and cultural food day the following week. Please think about a German, Spanish, French, or Arabic dish you would like to bring in and share with the class. B day has their ASL test on Monday. A day has their ASL test on Tuesday.
