WRITING: Finish your state report; requirement page is under the Language Arts section of the blog. You may print it at home if you want to. The report is due on Monday, March 16, 2020. We will begin presentations to the class on Tues., March 17.

TUESDAY, Feb. 25, 2020:

MATH: Finish Math packet.

SPELLING: use your dictionary definitions you wrote yesterday to help you write each of your words in a CORRECT sentence.

SCIENCE: Finish your Frayer Models in your science notebooks for your 12 words.

READING: Read 30 mins.

MATH: Do S-Book pp. 51-55, for Lesson 11. Make sure you read through p. 51 FIRST to understand how to do the problems!

SPELLING: Write dictionary definitions for your words.

MATH: Finish L-Book problems for Lesson 10 and do S-Book problems for Lesson 10. Please practice your multiplication and division flash cards–IT WILL HELP YOU A LOT!!!!

Valentine’s Day cards may be given to each student by the students on Friday, Feb. 14. However, this is NOT required–only if your child wishes to do this. Please make sure that your child brings one for each student in the class, if they choose to participate. A purple note went home today with the correct spelling of each child’s first name to help with the filling out of cards.

THURS., Dec. 19, 2019:

SOCIAL STUDIES: Take study guide home and study for test tomorrow. The typed notes are under the Social Studies tab on the blog. Just go to the link for Unit 3 and click it to open it.

SCIENCE: Finish reading pp. 86-90 in the book. Write the definitions (in your Science notebook) for all the black, bold words in the reading. Also, answer the questions on page 90 in complete sentences.

Bring a drink and a snack of choice (NO “hot” chips/food) for our marble jar party. The drink must be approved by your parent. If they let you have pop, you may bring it. We will be watching a movie.

READ 30 minutes.

TUES., Dec. 17, 2019:

MATH: Study for Mid-Mod. 3 Test tomorrow (the answer key is on the home page of the blog). Choir members must make sure they check their own study guides since you missed the review and explanations in class today, due to your all-day field trip.

READING: Read 30 minutes.

MATH: Do problems for Lesson 11 in L-Book.

READING: Read 30 minutes.

SCIENCE: Read pp. 79-85. Answer p. 85 at the bottom of the page, and do a Frayer Model for the term ‘potential energy’ in your science notebook.

Finish your letter to your Mom & Dad about Healthy Living, and bring back your permission slip if you didn’t already. Bring your letter back tomorrow—I will be checking them!

WRITING: Finish your Pros and Cons Lists for both the articles, “A Powerful Rock” (p. 54) in your Ready book and the handout, “Coal for Today and Tomorrow.”

MATH: Complete Lesson 5’s Exit Ticket and turn into me tomorrow. Complete the Study Guide for Mod. 2 and be ready to check your answers tomorrow. The test will be on Monday, Nov. 18, 2019

READING: Read 30 minutes to self, using your small group books. Don’t forget to read it out loud to yourself or someone else to practice your fluency.

SPELLING:  Write your spelling words 5 times each in your Spelling Notebook   Glue your list into your spelling notebook.  (They are also on the first page of the blog.)

MATH:  Do the rest of the problems in your L-Book for Lesson 5, pp.  39-41

SPELLING:  Do Sailboats with your words, or if you do not know how to do Sailboats, do the words 5 times each.  Study for your test tomorrow.

MATH:  Study the problems in Lessons 1 through 4 in your Succeed book,  re-do them if you need to.  You have a quiz tomorrow!

SPELLING:  Write each of your words in a sentence and underline them.  If you don’t know the meaning of the word,  look it up first!  So you know what it means before you use it.

SPELLING:  Write the words on your list 5 times each in your neatest writing.
