About

My name is Mrs. Deanna Traicoff.  I have been teaching at Miller Elementary School since 2006.  I began teaching 4th grade here, and in 2013-14 switched to teaching 5th grade.  Last year I switched back to 4th grade.  I have also taught 6th and 8th grades at Woodworth Middle School, 4th grade at River Oaks, and 3rd grade at Haigh.  For many years, I have worked in the district’s summer school programs also, teaching across various grade levels 1st through 7th grades.  Furthermore, my own schooling began in the Dearborn Schools as well.  As a child, I went to River Oaks, Fairlane Middle School (which is now closed and reopened as HFCC and Michael Berry campuses).  I also graduated from Fordson High School.

I am married and have three grown-up sons, who are now all married.  I also have 3 grandchildren.

I enjoy spending lots of time with my family, doing various activities with my church, singing in a ladies’ ensemble at church, cooking, reading, calligraphy, rubber stamp art, and spending time with my friends.

I look forward to teaching 4th grade again, and I look forward to working with each student, helping to set their academic goals, and working with each student and their parents to achieve those goals during this school year.
